Emile likes to build stuff, paper planes, lego cars and pillow forts. Over the last few months, he started to set me some pretty interesting challenges, the last of which was making him a wristwatch. So how exactly does one make a wristwatch? With a baffled look on his little face he looked up at me, “It’s easy dad, you can make a paper one”

When posting this on facebook my mom was quick to point out that I had some of my own creative challenges for my dad when I was Emile’s age. My dad was awesome and really took a lot of time out of his busy schedule to build everything my little mind conjured up at the time, planes, trucks, trains, even a ship. These are toys you can’t buy from a shop, it’s something I came up with and that my dad had the vision and skills to build. I played more with these toys than I’ve ever played with any toys anyone bought me. Let us know of any interesting challenges your kids came up with for you by leaving a comment below.
